The Sisterhood of Congregation Eilat has been a vital arm of the Synagogue since its inception. Sisterhood's goal, like our parent organization, Women's League, is the perpetuation of traditional Judaism in the home, the Synagogue, and the community. Here at Congregation Eilat, Sisterhood has been fulfilling this goal in a multitude of ways: be it providing the weekly Onegs and Kiddushlm for Shabbat, providing programs for the Synagogue and community, or just being there to serve in whatever capacity the Synagogue deems necessary. Sisterhood is an organization dedicated to enhancing Synagogue life by providing a warm and caring place where one can not only meet others, but make lasting friendships, and also become an ambassador of Congregation Eilat.
We have a number of ongoing events as well as specific programs occurring throughout our calendar year. We also have a variety of programs planned for our membership. Some of the programs are designed simply for relaxing and having a good time together. Others incorporate social action issues. Our Sisterhood Shabbat gives us the opportunity to study and pray with one another.
These events are structured to enhance Judaism and the Judaic spirit among our Congregants and community.
